Located in the heart of Washington DC, SPAGnVOLA (pronounced as spang—vola) has been providing the local community with exquisite chocolate since 2009. Their name is derived from a 16th century voyage map of the island of Hispaniola, known today as the Dominican Republic and Haiti. SPAGnVOLA was named a Top-10 World’s Best Chocolate Shop by National Geographic Travel.
Head Chocolatier, Crisoire Reid, and her husband Eric have partnered with The Watergate Hotel during the month of February to offer chocolate making classes to travelers and locals alike.
The 2-hour class introduces truffle making. Students will create and bring home a box of their completed truffles as a special treat. Classes occur each Saturday and Sunday in February 2018.
